Objective: To describe the rates and indications for transfers of care from midwives to obstetricians in Ontario that are not required by the College of Midwives of Ontario and to examine variations in rates across the province 
​Method: Retrospective cohort study

Objective: To compare birth outcomes for midwifery clients who remain under midwifery care with those of clients who experience a non-indicated transfer to obstetrical care using 2012-14 data from the BORN perinatal registry
